Christina D. Chambers, Ph.D. OTIS President CTIS Pregnancy Risk Information
Dr. Chambers is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She graduated from California State University, received a Masters in Public Health from San Diego State University, and a PhD in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of California and San Diego State University. She has worked as an epidemiologist with CTIS Pregnancy Risk Information for the last 8 years. Dr. Chambers' interests are in the areas of birth defects epidemiology and perinatal epidemiology, with a special focus on human teratogens. She is currently funded to conduct research on the prevention of risky alcohol consumption among pre-pregnant Latinas. She serves as the chairperson of the Teratology Society's Public Affairs Committee, and has been an active member of the Research Committee for the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists. |
