About Us
The Pregnancy Risk Information Line is a statewide, telephone service operated by the California Teratogen Information Service (CTIS) and Clinical Research Program.
Our service provides information about street drugs, prescriptive and non-prescriptive drugs, chemicals, infectious diseases, and physical agents which may be harmful to an unborn child. This service is offered to pregnant women, fathers, physicians, and other health care providers. The information is based on current scientific data and counseling is provided in a non judgmental manner.
The California Teratogen Information Service (CTIS) and Clinical Research Program is funded primarily through the California Department of Education.
CTIS is coordinated by Kenneth Lyons Jones, MD and Christina D. Chambers, Ph.D.
